A new future for chip music?

Oldschool crackintro mystics + techno + IDM + petscii interface? Yes!

Music For a 15 Year Old Me sees the return of Omri Suleiman, who first appeared on the Amiga scene around 1990. It is an attempt for Omri to reach back to his teenage self, and hopefully get some feedback. For the same reason, he uses similar tools to what he used back then.
I think that this release is incredibly refreshing, and really points towards new possibilities in soundtracked chipmusic. Fugg yeah!

Cool stuff. The d/l link doesn't work in Opera, btw.
Really cool stuff!
i love it!
Nice.
nice comeback! most should remember his gonads cracks tune =)
Now that's one cool homepage!
Not bad, and not to be a dick or anything, but how is this "a new future for chip music"?
really nice <3
Yes, perhaps it's a bit much to say a new future.
But what I meant is that it takes a different path from most other chipmusic. It's somewhere inbetween demoscene and chipscene. It's soundtracked (rather than using PSG-chips, which has become sort of the modern media requirement for chipmusic). It's not only for dancing, not only for spacing out.
In short: it's hard to think of something similar being released outside of the demoscene for the past years.

Great job! I'm in love!
Both music and visual are really great :D

the music i like the site not so much.
That does sound very nice indeed. Definitely a nice new way (not the only way, as "the future" sometimes [accidentally?] implies) for chiptunes to go!
IMHO it does not sound that new, I could find such examples from early years. It even is for me reminiscent of Richard James' works done about 20 years ago, of course achieved with utterly different machines. Indeed, there are some nice sounds in there, but saying that is a future is not only too much said but not accurate.
Well, at least you don't have to listen to anachronistic jerk ;).

http://www.kittenrock.co.uk/?p=449 MOAR alternative "chiptune" (made with a gameboy aparently)
what a great album! i love that sound. but imho the sound is not that far away from the stuff 4mat <3 does nowadays (or med). so "a new future" is over-the-top fanboyism..
but great release indeed.
but great release indeed.
perfect
It's good music (and not just good chiptune music)
