really nice. Definitely captured sceneish "wheeee! stuff is happening!" vibe, as well as personality of interviewees and technical details. Got the whole package : D

Quite (haha) inspiring to hear the history of a recently formed group discovering the scene, gaining skills, and coming together. Also inspiring to a new group making demos with an interesting design sense who are talking about using existing tools. . . gives a new scener more faith of not having to start from the ground up, and encouragement to investigate those tools, especially when that new scener may have been surrounded by folks with illustrious histories which are hard to live up to.

This is also excellent outreach material. Hmm, might want to screen it when I show Moleman 2, or perhaps near the end of the overview presentation I'm giving in April.

A bit OT, I adored Quite's invite for Chaos Constructions 2011, which I saw at Solskogen this past summer. <3 for well-executed refraction effects and evocation of volumetric space!

If you would like help reworking translations, I am happy to assist.

Send me an email at metoikos dot scul at gmail dot com or questions at atparty dash demoscene dot net.

Thank you for doing this!
correction (browser hiccup meant retyping in a hurry)

"Also inspiring to a new group"

should be

"Also inspiring to hear about a new group"

perhaps a Freudian slip : D
Thanks Manwe, you made a huge Quite fan happy... :)

Awesome, thanks! Excellent insight into one of the great demogroups of late. Very cool documentary.

Pleasantly surprised with how the documentary turned out. Self-irony expressed by the toilet shot in the beginning set a nice relaxed mood. :D

I expected some more topics to be covered, such as:
-- why were the recent works released as prerendered videos only, even though they could be run realtime at least theoretically;
-- how did the guys end up working with Dune;
-- who was in the original Quite lineup, and what is the current lineup (it felt like the topic was raised but awkwardly avoided in the process).
I also wanted to know some more about the recent demos such as the effects in riveurs enjienrd, but surprisingly they were barely touched upon.

Overall it was very nice and interesting watch, but I couldn't help feeling it raised more questions than it answered. Would be nice to watch some more lengthy features like this.

By the way, speaking of Quite, I would like to mention the steep musician Darkman007, who is also a member of the group, and has won many first places in various competitions. On it, unfortunately, nothing is said in the video as aforesaid. On his site you can listen to the music of this remarkable composer from southern Russia :)
In particular, cool chiptunes:

Lol, i've see no subtitles, but Preston said kind of: "when I looking at the DR demo and just wondering- how frob made an impression at me?"
the answer is a simple - quit an LCD man)

redheadshit Unc didn't explain anything. maybe he doesn't able?)) sure, yes, if he will work on the pronounce, nor with coding.

conclusion - nice fucking shit of the forced stupid suck of Quite.
good for you. osom.
