Revision 2012

category: parties [glöplog]
Xylo: I'd love to ... But:

A: It'll prove problematic to transport all that way
B: The owner of my local bar would probably object as I arrive to dismount the table ;-)

Contrary to belief, fussball tables are quite expensive to rent and ridiculously hard to transport, not to mention that the owner will probably demand an overhaul upon return because of bent bars and missing whatnot after 3 days of (ab)usage ;)

franky - revision pinball & entertainment dept. (not a real revision statement but a personal opinion ;) )

I *love* foosball. I would chip in a few euros to have a table rented at the party.

Maybe there's a pub in town that has a table. Anyone know?
oh, and I found a bike rental place www.schulz-schade.de
"Buy this domain"? ;)
metoikos, "The 3-star Domicil Leidinger Hotel is located 500 metres from the St. Johanner Markt in the old town district. It features its own theatre, free rental bikes and a sun terrace."

maybe they're free as in "free software" or "free sex". we must fight for the liberty of rental bikes!

Bstrr:
yes, we're talking about the country that "implemented" english words like "handy" as a noun for a cellular/mobile phone (a.k.a. Funktelefon) and created terms like "Colon Tarife" as a title for mobile communication tariffs of a Cologne based provider company.
Or the term "Serviceleistung", which literally translates to "serviceservice".
In a way this is worse than east-asiatic Engrish ._.

well, it's for rent as in "you can get it for a day or two, but you'll have to give it back" - but it's also free!!
or, in other words: "She's my daughter *slap* she's my sister *slap* she's my daughter..."

btw - is "asiatic" a proper english word? ;)

ted:
all right, "asian" ... FFS but I don't try to mix it with my native language.

I suggest you organize your own easter party which then includes a kicker table.

dodge, some good examples there :)
also the use of "pants" in "pants off" has many reasons, but one of them is definitely to lure in the americans. personally i prefer "hosen runter!", which leads me to this repost:

Could be, but we are taking revenge one word at a time.

Currently we are working on the belgianization of the work "Mehrfachsteckdose" into a more coherent "Schtrombloxke".
