Reviews, for free albums, are almost impossible to get if you're not posting through a collective that already have some followers.
I got MOST of my (very few) reviews by the world of mouths or friends.
Indeed, 4mat made me have one (supporter number 1)
A TPOLM member made one for me (love <3)
My family name and the fact it's funny a known reviewer in france is also a Richard and he's also from Normandy... made me have one, who know?
I emailed approximatly 8 websites that were dealing with the same genre of music I'm involved into. Almost none didn't reply that "at least they'll check". I bet the others thought that if I had to email, it means I'm worthless.
For a fact, my last album must be the shittiest thing on earth as two websites which reviewed the split with lackluster didn't want to review my album.
Though, I'm still receiving emails from various places (soundcloud, twitter, my website) that most often start like "Why didn't I hear about your music earlier?"
SO if you have a solution, I'll take it.
At least, you'll have more support than I have from the scene (:D)
