Great that you made 'some order' in the oldschool compos and that we have now the 'official' oldskool demo compo for all 8-bit/16-bit machines. Very good idea.

HOTEL RESERVATION IS ONLINE!

Don't feel like sleeping in the main hall during the party? Then a hotel is probably the right place for you to stay.

Like last year we were able to arrange some discounts for a wide range of hotels. From designer hotel to low budget accommodation - the choice is yours. All prices are per room and night, include breakfast and the reservation can be cancelled without fee until 04.04.2012. Please note, that the listed prices just apply for a stay between 05.04. and 10.04.. If you need your room earlier/longer use the comment area (appears after creating an account) to indicate so. The tourist office then will forward your request to the hotel - however the price might differ.

Everything concerning the hotel registration is handled by the tourism office of Saarbrücken. So, if any questions or problems occur, please contact them directly!

Now, go on, check out the hotels and book away!

Quote from the Photo Compo rules, notice any changes?
Quote:
Postproduction is allowed; in case you want to make a collage, you will also have to provide the original raw photos in your zip file.

Yes. You can make collages. So go crazy with it and show us something cool. :)

Question about the Oldskool GFX compo.
Why does it have to be Executable?
I understand when it comes to special platforms with their own gfx formats and tools, but with f.i Amiga and Atari ST, a standard format like IFF should be acceptable.

DO NOT TRY TO MAKE ME COME! (and come, like, coming, like, moving my ass to the place)
knl: you DO know that there is a fast train connection (1h50m) between Paris and Saarbrücken, yes? :)

D.Fox: yes, a very nice train (ICE) in which you can get beers in _actually sized_ glasses. You know, I've been there last year :)
knl: Well, then what's the problem? ;)
