i agree with okkie. the dutch "piratenpartij" were all WoW-nerds with the social skills of Sheldon Cooper's retarded cousin... struggling to explain why the fuck they even exist, let alone make a whopping statement whatsoever.... my advice: if you want downloading freedom, vote for the PVV! they have it on their agenda and in the process they tell all black people to fuck off, therefore (assuming you're a white person) giving you more bandwidth to burn on your daily donkeyporn. win-win i'd say!

The Finnish PP managed to make a really good impression by nominating, among other quality candidates, multiple guys whose online (and probably real life) existence is based on whining that their market value is too low and they can't get laid, a porn star who made a hugely embarrassing "election porno" and a BB competitor (as chav as they come) who failed to have any kind of clue on anything. Combine that with the generic "intellectual geekism" (the kind of that really doesn't sell or appeal outside the Linux crowd) and it's a big wonder that they managed to get as many votes as they did.

In the end, the only thing that the pirates managed to do was to steal enough votes from the only prominent Finnish politician who actually has a clue on computer-related things to sabotage his candidacy and to replace him with a person whose only merit is that he belongs to both an ethnic and a sexual minority. Nice going.

well, i wonder how some of you ppl think in some years, when pirates are leading the whole european armada. :D ARRRRRRRRH
