That was a very good party!

I think more foreigners should come to Function. Budapest is a great city, take the time to visit it, go to the cheap & good restaurants, and try the baths! At the party place, you can have a full pizza and a 0.5L bier for 3 euros. Could you get a coffee in Norway for that price? :)

That was a nice week-end for me. Thanks to the organizers!
Gratulalok!

Punqtured, I hereby declared myself interested in going next year!

count me in the "interested" department - depends on dates etc etc.

I'm overwhelmed and at the same time slightly bewildered by Punqtured's post - while it's heartwarming to hear most of this stuff, I realize I take them for granted now. Hungarian parties were always like this, even from the very first one I attended. It amuses me greatly how this experience can be novel from someone foreign, but in a good way :) (Although admittedly we fluked the weather, last year it was basically the same weekend and it provided us with torrential rain.)

As for the party, I'd like to express my gratitude for everyone who attended and especially who travelled in from abroad. This was a rough party to organize for a variety of reasons but I hope we were able to deliver satisfyingly, and that perhaps some of the footprints we leave in the scene archives will encourage some more to visit if it happens next year.

Well, Punqtured said everything I was thinking :) FANTASTIC party. I'm going next year; nothing you can do to stop me :D

...also, REALLY need to not overwork myself next time. I think the first 36 hours or so of the party were the most productive of my life. I'm not kidding.

Punqtured did some great advertisement here ... I want to go next year. One week in Budapest combined with a demo party sounds pretty good :)

next year would be our 10th occasion, btw.

...which would make it REALLY disappointing if it didn't happen again ;)

It WILL happen, with over 200 attenders!

I feel really bad about not attending this year and I would be _really_ sad if I didn't get to participate in 2012. Last year's Function was one of my top party experiences ever.

Everything punqtured said, and also:
For the decadent amongst us, there's the Le Rose Hotel. Rooms are nice and clean, the price is very reasonable and the level of (personal) service is superbly better than anything I've ever had at any other hotel.
Even got fast cabled Internet in the rooms :)

Thanks to all the organizers, I really hope I can make it back next year :)

I was only able to attend the compo night for reasons independent of my will, but that was a really great party. Cool venue, very good ambiance, well Punqtured pretty much said it all. I'll be back :)

really liked the party. unfortunately we dropped in late saturday afternoon (got stuck in a cocktail bar in budapest city) and had to leave early on sunday morning, but it was worth the trip! i totally second punqtured.

if you plan on travelling to the party from abroad, make sure to add some extra days and visit budapest! it's such a great city.

Today I visited the partyplace to pay damages (the two clay chess pieces and a plastic chair), and the finance lady asked me:
"Heard you had an intense party eh?"
"Yeah, 170 people."
"No, I mean generally during the events we have here, people don't pee in the ashtray."
So mad props for that, whoever that was.

In other news, I've been handed a black male L-size shirt with grey "IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON" text - the rightful owner may send me an email to reclaim it.

sheesh, people could at least bring their own catheters if they're going to chain themselves to their computers.

*wry*
this does nothing to shake my conviction that I really want to go to next year, I'll note : D
