Shout out to Annikras and Micksam7 for demo captured goodness
category: offtopic [glöplog]
Dunno if you lazy sceners have seen Annikras' YouTube channel but it's a wonderful resource of HD demo captures done lovingly.

To all the capturing gods and the awesome Micksam7 from Capped.TV - I salute your tremendous efforts, and my laptops GeForce 435M copes a lot better performing DCT block decoding over gratuitous pixel shader savagery any day. :)

Seconded, also huge thanks to m0d for those awesome live-at-the-party videos. There's nothing quite like seeing it live with the crowd going wild/booing/shouting AMIIIGAAAAAAH etc. :)
Thanks Annikras!
Yeah also, m0d goes all in with his party videos, bless him.

Thank you guys!!
I'd also like to recommend TMC's party videos. He seems to travel to all demoparties with his camera and provided a lot of nice captures as well:

Thumbs up go to our elite capture squad!
I prefer the real thing if it runs properly on my machine.

Indeed. Big props to you guys!
Absolutely, I wish I could thumb up users!
this thread/the message:
The only bad thing is that quite often i'm too lazy to run the real thing and watch anni's HD video instead, even if it would run in my machine :)
Great job guys.
Great job guys.
Massive thumbs up!
Also, FreeClipTV has captured loads of old Amiga stuff lately, which is awesome. Some people tell him off "for spamming" though, which is a shame.

There is a "standardized" way for submitting video links on pouet (via the fix me beautifull thread), everything else is spamming indeed. Some people tell him off "for spamming" though, which is a shame.

Sure, but it's not very intuitive, so need to get the banhammer out. :-)
Yes, thank you really much for that!!!
and yes. thanks for the ability to skip in demos when they're too boring ;)
Thanks for the captures dudes!
Shameless self-promotion, just fresh out of the oven:
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD09BF0284159C5B7&feature=viewall
Contains the whole Demowall 2011 http://demowall.org playlist that we showed at various locations.
Things to note:
- Due to time restrictions some videos have clipping issues with about 10-15px lost or so, but nothing really major.
- ZX Spectrum demos have a lot lower audio volume as I didn't have a good way to monitor the audio that went to the capturing machine.
- .kkaptured about 15%~, the rest are emulated / run in realtime with another machine + HDMI capture at yet another machine doing 720p60..
- Sorry, no real devices other than Windows stuff, planning to have 100% authentic machines for the next playlist/capturing.
- Panjabmoore meets 007 again has been blocked in the US due to containing a small clip of "gasp" copyrighted audio material!
- Some VSYNC issues and frame lag with some clips, Sorry, capturing 50+ demos in a week + stitching together equipment and then noticing stuff like this is frustrating but I had to let it slide, I promise to minimize this stuff next time. Real HW and a decent scaler should help. :/
I still have the original videos + raw captured material if anyone wants to see any of these at a proper 60fps (and possibly without the slides), just ask :)

yay for those who make captures. you make demoshows easier to run. And allow me to experience parties I miss. Which is most of them.
