Help the South American Demoscene

The thread name sounds funny :)
Anyway...
We still need to spread the demoscene here. And there's so much for doing yet.
The biggest LAN party in our continent is the Campus Party... and they are accepting suggestions. So I've sent this one:

In short terms: I've explained a little bit about the demoscene and the consequences of spreading the culture here, like technological advancements (hahaha *coughs* sorry). And the suggestion is: A demoparty inside the event. It'd be something like ASM, I think.
So... Help us, I'd love to see it flourish here. :)

This immediately sent me to Slengpung to see if there were any Flashparty pictures.
But there aren't any. Clearly this party should have an official photographer who sends pictures to Slengpung [NOT IT!]
[Which then reminded me I still need to send an assload of @party pictures. And my meager allotment of Solskogen pictures. Guilt guilt guilt. Hence why not volunteering.]

even if you can't get hosted by them, all you really need is a big room for 48 hours and a projector and a blank wall.

if i recall correctly there were demoscene talks at campus party in brazil in previous year. explaining what the demoscene was and showing some demos. saw some youtube videos of it. if that wasnt you you should defnitly try to get in touch with those guys.

metoikos: The system is behaving weirdly, many people couldn't vote. So I quit the idea of trying to bring it up through the suggestion system. I'll talk directly with the organizers. Someone also told me that there's an oldschool brazilian scener in the organization team. So I'm waiting for his contact. :)

sorry about that, I have thousands of pics but I never had time to choose and send the "good ones"... I will do it some day :x
no worries. I am similarly at fault about that, but then Luis Gonzalez of DESiRE, he of the Duino Demo and the custom Blackberry 3D library, stepped up to say "I will save you!" And so he is getting the @party pics from the last two parties together and sending them to Slengpung. ( :
random note for Dangaufer and other orgos of the upcoming Brazilian party . . . I have made a lot of headway from connecting with the art world here in Boston. As well as connecting with technology and industry, maybe that would be useful where you are too . . . just a thought.
