Certainly (and they might argue about proportions), but that wasn't my point. Point is that both ends of the spectrum have a perfectly valid reason to exist the way they are, and berating them as "improper" while clearly being aware that you're biased against it feels like having a deliberate chip on your shoulder. I think the problem here was that you implied that it was a Tron-derivative, denying the originality of it. (I admit I personally enjoyed Tron Legacy visually, but thought the soundtrack was massively cliched and predictable.)

Atmosphere in a demo is great of course, and even the least technical demos can be fun to watch for their atmosphere, but (with a few exceptions) there's nothing profound about any demo. They're just a bit of fun with pretty visuals, and no different to a mindless action film like Tron.
