Yes, and by the 2nd law of thermodynamics you're simply assisting the inevitable anyway. It's from all these 'yes but' issues that we end up with a mass of conflicting laws to cover every eventuality. We'd be better off with the simplest definition and a bit of common sense, but common sense is in short supply :(
