REVISION 'trade goods' thread

ubik: when it comes to certain illegal substances, mr. Rowley Birkin might give some tips for how to obtain them :)
Especially for us, that need to cross boarders, that tip will come in handy.
leijaa: "Full" ? what is this? :)) I haven't seen such a beer for ages.
Must have been some ultra low-cost product that's been out of sales for quite a while now.

kbi: they sold it in the supermarkets in Poznan in 2003 ;)
Some random poles have told me it's a local brand. But yeah, it might be they don't sell it anymore. Too bad :(

I'll be having 4 Dreamcast SD Adapters with me at Revision as I had to buy in bulk to get a proper pricing, will charge 9 EUR/each only (basically self cost price) to get rid of the too many ones. If you research on your own, you might end up paying the same or more. (Plus count the 4 weeks shipping from China too).
I'll be driving to Revision from Poland so I welcome reasonable requests for any local stuff you want. In exchange, I'd really like to get some decent cider and interesting beers and stronger alcohol too. Strangely flavoured vodka is outside my interests, sorry.
Jesus is also coming with me. Who drank Jesus last Easter, is still alive and will never forget ;).

Dunno what is a decent cider. I believe any cider from Normandy is? If you like it strong of course.

If it's over 5% then it's drinkable. I tried some French cider and it was a nice sparkling drink but at 2-3% I wouldn't call it alcoholic.
I'm not sure there are over 5% but I'm pretty sure I can find some around 5%
If you like Apple: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Calvados_%28brandy%29 but I'm not really a connoisseur and I think it's quite a price to get a good Calvados bottle but I could still ask to a cellarman.

scrumpy jacks and/or strongbow from the barrel is what you want... but that is hard to get out of a can... :/
Cider is somewhat 'back in fashion' in the UK nowadays, so there's about a billion different kinds in the supermarket (like, almost as many as we have flavours of crisps ;) There's apple, pear, sparkling or flat, fruit flavoured, 'vintage', strong, mild, scrumpy..
It's generally the same as beer: avoid the factory produced shit, and you'll find some great stuff :)

We also have pear cider in Normandy.
But you know, Normandy... England... Joan of Ark.

cider is the drink of the gods
Cider is awesome. Everyone should drink cider. I'm getting mah party cider from UK \o/ (thanks Vampire <3) Weston's Vintage (8.2%) is pure ownage. Drink of gods, indeed.
Cider is only for lazy sunny sundays BBQs (or lazy sunday radios) sessions
Thanks for the insight but I really prefer the cheap and simple version which reminds me of student days in England. I'm soon going to visit France so I'll be able to get local beverages in desirable amounts.
Anyway, knl, what would you like to get from Poland?

So you just want cider and it's not a problem, still, I can try to get you a 5% cider and if I manage to find a good one from Normandy (which is, I should dare to say it loud, better than the one made in Brittany) I'll tell you... and my peachy would be a bottle of honey krupnik, seriously, I'm addicted to it.
@knl: I think I'll be able to find it but, hey, strong for strong! You're not getting away with a bottle of cider ;)
Thats what I thought. Anisette for you?
Anisette is mainly like Ricard but without the liquorice after-tase
