I've totally given up champagne, after discovering decent perry is very similar, actually better tasting, can be drunk by the pint, and is available for £1/bottle \o/ You can get a crate of the stuff for the price of a cheap bottlle of champagne.

Speaking of british stuff, how come nobody is requesting some of our million or more flavours of crisps? No requests for monstermunch, salt + vinegar, worcester sauce?

I can't make it unfortunately :(

If I had some bucks to bring a real bottle of champagne, seriously, you would stop saying what you just said.
(and I'm not found of champagne at all, thats for girls)
Nah, I've had good champagnes. There are times when it's worth spending the money (like whisky :) but I'd seriously take a £1 perry over a £30 champagne. I'd take the perry if it was the same price. Except I'd want 2 bottles and a pint glass :D

(Then again, i'd normally walk straight past both and grab a beer. Proper manly beer with flavour in it, not the yellow fizzy stuff.)

D.Fox: Is anything wrong with the cider you can buy in germany?
added on the 2011-04-09 15:52:40 by joooo joooo
I've never found cider in Germany so far :D Maybe they sell it from under the counter?

Oh fuck yeah ORVAL!
franky: if you read this- i'd really love to get my hands on some rochefort 10's for the collection

jenni: sure, how much do you want?

kaneel: orval is cool- what do you want in return?
added on the 2011-04-09 18:24:19 by havoc havoc

@Rowley: fuuuu man, I just wish I could bring some for a cheap price, I could look what's in Paris but I think belgian people could get some for a lesser price... but I have this friend who's so found of Duvel and I guess he could help me find some places for getting good Orval.

Anyway, do people know anisette? When it's about anise liquor, people often bring Pastis and Ricard but I really prefer anisette, it's basically the same as the two others without the liquorice after taste.
jenni: there is cider in germany of course, most bars serve strongbow but ive seen various other brands in stores (bulmers comes to mind which i drank just yesterday). but i guess a real brit will tell you those ciders suck and comes up with something ive never heard before, so its probably still a good idea to go genuine =)

Rowley: AH Kauwgom fruit lists at least on AH website 1,25 euros per bag, so if you bring four bags, it nicely rounds up to 5 euros :)
