No. Nothing good can come out of analog modular synths.
It is just a waste of time.
I had a wall full of that stuff but I just threw it away,
this guy salvaged it from the thrash, and made good use of it:

So no one, it seems..
I would be into if it wasn't that expensive even if second hand.
I remember I have played on some analog synths at some places, always a good experience. I had a yamaha cs01 for some years, the tiniest analog ever made. My korg ex800 had a VCF, funny. I played on a jupiter 8 and on a SH101 as well.
But damn, since some lame ass musicians said in interviews that "analog were the best", every lame ass imitators want to have one and that's how some prices reach the sky. I'll wait for the return to digital synths so analog will be cheap... as if :)
I wish I could play on a yamaha CS, I heard they were amazing.

I think I still have my 9 (used to be 10 but gave away one to Firestarter) SAS-VCO somewhere in the basement.

One of the best features I managed with those was taking two, letting one control the other and getting the sound from 'Burnin rubber' if someone remembers the old C64-game.

Seriously ne7 is the man to talk to!
I am into analog synth-diy as well, but I haven't finished my modular yet.
Obligatory PCB-Pron ASM1 style saw VCO core with FM and Sync-Inputs. 1V/oct as well as linear control.
I have four of them :-)

my rigs are still in design stage. Right now I rather use emulation. But will build a modular, or atleast patchable KB someday.
There's always lft who made the chipophone.
He also made a couple of demos that run on homebrew hardware. (At least I think it's homebrew. Maybe he's just using a kit. Dunno, but the chipophone *is* DIY.)
