Repacked version of DUCK.3JS in 2K
category: general [glöplog]
This was just supposed to be a compression test but I decided to push it a little further until the 2K limit was reached.
Here it is:
http://knox.ac.free.fr/duck.3js.2k/loader.html
It's exactly the same than the original DUCK.3JS by Wurst, except it's now twice as small. There are some more technical details in this NFO for those interested.
Anyway. That's the same result on the same platform and in the same category (since there's no 2K category). So, I suppose I should not post it as new prod ... or should I?
Quack. Quack.

Nice small duck!

Yes, submit!
Good one. Question: have you taken in advantage its symmetry?

you should
first take texel's advice, then submit it (as a remix)
yeah new prod! (with "remix of" mention), so I will be able to thumb it up! :)

I think Joghurt did already mirror the halves of the duck, so...
That's correct, only one half of the duck is stored -- and so was it already in the original version. There's some more symmetry on the flank but not an exact one. Now if all vertices were to be generated in a procedural way, I suppose that a simplified duck might fit in 1K.
Use gluCreateDuck();
...well in GL at least... ;)
