Does anybody know where the drumloop of the Anarchy 3D-Demo-2 come from? I thought its a Prodigy sample but i couldnt find this one exactly. thx.

i´m searching the drumloop-sample, not the vocals. the demoloop is much more prodigy 90´s style than the original game-music.

Here's the loop, for convenience. Amen? I doubt it. There's far too much additional percussion in it. If the Amen is somewhere in there, not much of it is left.

The original .mod is here - I'll try to disect it and find out whether or not that loop is an edited version of amen's

Indeed Saga is right about this. Julius|Mad Freak used that exact loop "Blow Ya Nose" too. I'm not sure where that loop is from, but it surely sounds as if it's from some breakbeat drumloop compilation. There was dozens of those sample-cd's back in the late 80's and the 90's

Loaded the mod in renoise, if there is an amen in this one it sure has help from additional samples, so much is clear. That load kick isn't in the orginal amen, or it has been tweaked beyond believe.

i´m sceptical about the amen break. unfortunately the original amiga sample is just 8bit 16 (or less) khz. mad freak is not contactable nealry 20 years later i guess.

Not the Amen break for sure, just listen to the snares ... Sounds like a Funky Drummer in there layered with loads of other crap, soundwise it's close to the Run's House/Some Justice loop which is a layered Funky Drummer.

+1 for layered breaks; part of the groove is definitely from the Altern8 tune 4mat linked. There's other stuff on top for beef tho.

many are nearby the demoloop but no one is the real one. i´m sure mad freak sampled it by himself and didnt layer it from 2 or more beats (that was really hard back in the amiga days with no timestretching and pitchshifting). so the loop must be found on a recording.

marsulpi: often they're close but not identical, mostly because of overamplification, compression or whatever... keep that in mind.

i did a comparison coz i thought the awesome-3-loop could be the one, but it isn´t. here´s the result (all stretched to the same level):

theres more percussion in the demoloop which gives it more groove.

saga musix: you are right. overamplification in combination with low sampling rates und resolution makes it sounds quite different but you can recognize it at the groove/timing of the single components like hihats, toms, snares and drums.

Load in the sample, use sample offset to pick individual parts, sequence, bounce out, load loop back in.

It's more or less the same process you would follow with a regular sampler from the same era, except that many samplers would allow you to create zones and assign to keys in the sampler (no need to use sample offset control codes).
It wasn't used only for breaks, but also for your typical kick/hihat/snare techno beat as well.
