The date for MAiN6 is fixed, this years MAINPARTY will happen from 14th to 16th of october 2011, again in Arles, France !

Hope to see you all this year ( again ) ...

On demand we might have this year also oldschool computer compos, planned are C64, Atari ST and Amiga - Competitions, its to early to announce details ...

So make a BIG red cross in your agendas !

Oldschool separate computer compos is a great idea. 8bits machines (for the sake of them) should not compete with their "younger brothers".

Sim, I think it doesn't matter much. Most of the time, people take all considerations before voting for oldschool compos... unless they are drunk... unless namevoting happens...

Ooooh.. i was just talking about announcing dates for TRSAC, in regards to the upcoming Main party.

I hope that we wont steal too many viitors/productions from each other (TRSAC will be the following weekend - and I'll probably not be able to attend because of that :D)

sim: The luxury of having "clean" and very specific compos for oldschool hardware is probably not really possible that often due to the amount of releases.
I other words: rather have a combined oldschool compo with 5-6 entries than 3 with 1-2 entries each.

Hmm. Kaneel, I do not agree.
At last Main (2010), during a 4k there was an excellent CPC entry (Moody). It competed with nice widowz prods, what I immediately found as a misunderstanding. It had no chances to win, even if 4k "wolfenstein tunnel" is sth really (I think) impressive.

Puryx: yes I agree with you!
I see I expressed myself not too clear... I meant competition between "oldskool" platforms such as C64/AtariXL-XE/CPC/ZX and the 16bits AtariSTxx/Amiga500 is OK. Saying "younger brothers" I ment all the "windows" PCs.
So al in all: not mixing old with new.

just checked plane tickets and they are surprisingly cheap - so might be possiible this year \o/ - just need to check if the dates fit into my schedule though :(

Well if the compos are held in their own category, is for sure depending on number of entries ...

If you all support us well we held 3 total independent oldschool competitions :

c64 Demo
Atari ST
and Amiga

But it makes no sense to held those compo independent if there is e.g. only one ST prod & one Amiga prod ...

So its up to you !
