that's a tricky one, i have to admit, although the guy in the bottom right seems to at least see some humour in it.

reCaptcha's purpose is not only providing Captchas but also crowdsourcing book digitalisation:
1. scan books
2. present two words from books in the captcha: one that's already known for the captcha itself and one that's unknown/unsure so it gets typed in by the "volunteer"
3. Repeat 2. until all books have been processed with enough confidence
So probably somebody just accidentally the book upside down. :)
