Witnessed this morning, all solutions were provided by different Apple users/lovers. :)
Problem:
"This happened last night. an audio CD that won't eject. I can't drag it to the trash & holding the reject button at restart also doesn't work. It makes the usual noises but doesn't eject then relaunches the volume. Any ideas?"
Solution 1: "Hold down the mouse button while booting up."
Solution 2: "start itunes ... play the disk ...stop the playback and eject the disk from itunes "
Solution 3: "Then the only other answer I can find for you, is manually grabbing it with tweezers. Carefully, but you're good with your hands, get in there and give it a little tug."
Solution 4: "1) Hold Control-Command-Option-Eject Button; Mac OS X only; this will shut down your computer. 2) Turn the power on with the power button and hold Command-Option-O-F -- this will boot you into open firmware. 3) Now type eject cd and wait until the CD pops out. "
Solution 5: "Argh this happened to me once. Try opening Disk Utility, selest the optical drive on the left and choose "mount". Then eject. Might work. "
Solution 6: "isn't there a small tiny paperclip hole next to it like in the early days? push a bended paperclip in it helped back then ....."
tip7: "I finally got mine out by booting into Windows. Don't suppose you have Bootcamp Windows installed."
--------------------------------------------
Also - i'm having a fan replaced in my macbook pro, which costed me 400 euros (!). (new macbook pro: 1150 euros)
Besides this incredibly amount of money, i also had to deal with the costumer support looking at my machine while booting, shaking his head when he saw it booted in windows. 'That's not how it supposed to work, innit?'. Well fuck you.

allright, it may have nothing to do with Steve, but the nanoscopic keyboard deserves a bash...
