Diskmag engine?

Rasmus: Reminds me of this discussion about diskmags needing to evolve or die :)

AFAIK there hasn't actually been a long running demoscene blog, most give up after a few months, so there's a space to fill there if you want it. If you do stick with the diskmag idea can I suggest making each issue themed like a traditional magazine? This is one of the few advantages print media still has over the web and might help to give the mag more structure.
4-mat: every issue of Hugi is themed. or what do you mean exactly ?
Yeah I know, I was just saying in general it's a good idea.
I realise diskmags are a long-running tradition, but I'd vote for an online solution.. i.e. a webmag/blog/webpage instead of an application.
also, writing in portuguese is retarded, even if you leave out all the superfluous dots at the end of sentences. better use a world language, such as danish \o/
i'm having a dejavu. didnt we have this "diskmag must evolve but no one actually cares to the point of doing something better than the bitfellas proposition" debacle 3 times already in pouet?
atleast the last time it was discussed a few new scene blogs popped up with some interesting content (smash, navis, ++) to tag along with the ones that were already doing so (datunnel, viznut, ++) the problem is the same as with all blogs: they have an interesting period then they run out of interest and the articles hidden admist unchecked links.
wish someone would pick up bitfellas articles section and curate it properly to keep it fresh.

it's time you stfu
Just saw maali comment Oo I for some reason did not saw it.. .. ..
Thanks maali, and the person that pointed that maali replied :P
Rowley Birken: I wrote in portuguese, because noone did :P And I know the language! So I get to be popular, even if I suck. (happily, I don't sucked :P)
I already said what is the point of a diskmag: To be a magazine read in a computer.
The problem of blogs, along the ones already pointed, is that they are not considered "serious" journalism by many people (like, the cops that arrested the Gizmondo stuff from the house of a journalist).
I already have a blog, LOTS of people have blogs about it, and paper magazines, but these blogs, end with lots of short content, or end being messy...

Well, it IS a magazine after all, only not on paper :)
Serious real magazines and newspaper write bullshit too... don't worry.

they don't excel at it quite like certain diskmag authors tho
blogs - the mc donaldization of journalism
discmags, you should make demos about it.
demos, you should make diskmags about it. oh wait..
you should put demos in discmag so you can make discmags about it while you make demos about it?
Hi speeder!
If you have any questions about Chris Dragan's Panorama diskmag engine, you can ask me. Chris Dragan's email address seems not to be working, but as I've been using his engine for years, I have plenty of experience with it and know what can be done with it and what cannot.
Good luck with your diskmag project! A mag about game development is a great idea.

Oh it's ok, Adok is here now.
knl: I once wrote (in 1995 i think) wrote an article called "diskmagazine demos" about including some nice effects inside a diskmag ;-)
you're such a visionary!
Maali: I guess I should take that as a compliment although it comes from your mouth ;-)
or maybe you should loook up "cynicism" in your dictionary (assuming you have one)
it's spelled 'kynisme'
only by ppl from the utter north of germany!
