Are trackers used outside of scene/game music?

Just curious if there are any examples of professional musicians using trackers these days? Its not something I'm too familiar in, but if not - why not?

If you consider Renoise a tracker in the classical sense (as opposed to a DAW with just a tracker interface), then sure.
I use old trackers in my professional work occasionally. For really high accuracy in sample manipulation sometimes a tracker is the best bet.
I have used trackers (protracker and renoise) in professional work too. Why not sticking with tools you know best?
I guess a lot of electronic music producers would admit to using trackers at some point... (Art of Fighters come to mind)

aphex twin and venetian snares use Renoise a lot.

I must admit I was never much of a Buzz-fan (used it on one or two tunes I think), but this feature (vertical waveform in pattern view) is friggin' awesome :)
cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy is a Renoise user. Apparently a large part of their upcoming album is made using it. cEvin explicitly mentions using Renoise here, but I've seen him mention it in other interviews as well.
Don't worry, you are not alone, you can keep using a tracker.

Not a single tune on my album took more than a few days to make. They come together real quick and then I spend some time on the details so they’re alright to listen to.
M: So once a tune has been started how do you go back and change it?
B: I can’t. I can only affect it. I have to fade bits out or fade it if I don’t like it or replace it and hope it’s in time. It’s budget. It’s not perfect.

Magnus (Solar Fields) uses Vegas.. and yeah, he mostly records his sounds then goes to work on them. I agree with Kaneel, using only Soundforge sounds suspicious.. and something one would say just to be cool :)
