It's not about whether "we" like it or not. If it fits into the demo/scene category, you should stick it here.
Personally, I dislike GBA demos, since the difference between a GBA running a cool demo and a turned off one is that there's music. Thank you, Nintendo, for creating the worst screen since Virtual Gameboy.
Buy one of these SP's you fucking cheapskate.

What do you mean with 'stuff'? From the hardware side i guess an arm7tdmi seams somewhat hard to like although 32 bit data addressing is grrreat :). From the software side i guess you are not too interested in games, so that leaves us to many cracktros and a handful of demos. I dont thinks the demos are that bad (especially 'Lollipoop' does not suck inopia :) . Enough text for today..

GBA is a great machine, but the demos for it is still not too cool :/
I have lots of fun doing GBADev, and the people in #gbadev are quite interesting to hang out with (I hang out that every day :P). I've done a few games, and I'm releasing my first real demo @ Scene Event 2k4, I can't wait, since it's also my first party :)

Flashcarts are somewhat expensive, but it's still possible to get a linker + cart for about $80 (including postage from hong kong).

GP32, on the other hand, doesn't seem just as cool as GBA. It's faster, yes, and it has more RAM, but it has NO hardware functions that's fun to play around with. With this, I'm talking about everything from simple sprite functions to advanced interrupts. Also, I am frightened about how slow I've heard that some GP32 stuff is (emulators, etc). With a processor which can be software overclocked to around 166 mhz, I don't see how it can be so hard to write a SNES fast emulator for it, since it's very possible on a PC with a proccessor of equal speed, and ARM ASM is a lot more comfortable compared to x86 ASM.
Thank you for confirming my doubts visavis the GP32.
well, no problem mista :)
freed: if it's DEMOSCENE related it's welcome

related to the warez-DEMOSCENE?
related to the GBA-DEMOSCENE?
related to a "whatever"-SCENE?

I like GBA demos, though I agree there are only very few gems. But I like that the hardware isn't changing so you can constantly keep pushing the limits.
