it'll be cool...if someone creates a flashcart for it. Other than that - imagine the shovelware that Ubisoft and Zoo are probably already designing for it. Shiver!

Ok, I'm kind of skeptic that this "pokemonfreak907" knows for a fact what 3DS games will look and play like. Seems to me like an attempt at gaining views by posting someone else's video and then adding his own speculations that most likely aren't based on any facts.

yes flashcarts for demos will be cool...
for those interested, this has nothing to do with any new 3D technology. It's the cam of the DSi that searches for a face/head silhouette and moves the camera in the software world accordingly.

it's a clever trick but has nothing to do with Nintendo 3DS or whatever.

and it probably won't play right when you're in a crowded bus with other heads around yours.

Looks fun, but I don't know how well 3d is going to work on such a small screen. The 3d effect is going to be really limited at best. And I really doubt it would use head tracking (which is very limited to begin with, and would suck the balls off a lion on a screen that small) - there are proper stereoscopic displays that could easily be used.

@Tinctu: Actually I do read them from time to time, so I read those articles this morning. Those articles were full of "may", "might" and "could be". That's why I'm saying he's speculating without any basis in facts - because the facts aren't known.

3DS Max > Nintendo 3DS

3DO!
as I've said before:

it seems kind of fucked up with the DSi (XL) only being released so shortly ago.. and on top of that it seems like a feature that is probably going to, just like on the DS and Wii, be applied as some retarded gimmick by 90% of 3rd party developers.

Mhhmm. I like how everyone is speculating about the actual tech. Last time they tried the 3d handheld game console thing, it was a misguided and hilarious flop, but I guess they have learned their lesson. So, what's it this time: Autostereoscopy, Head tracking, lens distortion? Let's wait and see. :)

awesome. i saw a youtube video of someone doing something similarfor the wii. i.e. mounted some device on the players head (or cap) and moved the camera as the player moved around in the physical room in front of the tv.
2020: NINTENDO COLLADA
Because it is compatible with the dsi, i can't imagine it without the two cameras. If this is truly some kind of autostereoscopic screen, that PLUS head tracking would be really OSSOM !

I don't see the point really, I have a handheld because I want to peacefully play games on the train or so without disturbing anyone... so nintendo wants you to yell at it and move your head around like a spastic chicken.

*headdesks*

You don't have to move your head around. You should try the demo of johnny lee with the wii remote, even with your head steady, you always move a little bit and that little bit makes everything different.

Anyone who's ever seen a 3D screen will disagree.

If you're a tetra-paraplegic the 3D screens technology is pure awesomeness. But luckily for you you aren't.

Well I think all links and youtubes are just software demos for DSi or DSi XL...
There are 3D displays by Philips, Samsung or Sharp. So I can imagine same technology in 3DS. I was surfing whole day. And there are no facts... No cpu specs or 3D gpu specs... Well I will wait and see...
