8th Annual Scene.org Awards

category: general [glöplog]
It's time to look back at the highlights of previous years demoscene productions. The voting for the 8th Annual Scene.org Awards is now open! We ask everyone and each of you to fill in the voting form nominating your favourite demo release (or intro, wild, you name it) from 2009. The public voting is open until 14th of March. Thank you!

Further details to be announced when we know them. But you may expect the prize giving ceremony to happen at Breakpoint somewhere during the Easter weekend (so yes, book your flights if you don't want to miss it).

This post lacks a significant number of exclamation marks, I must say. Congrats to the team that took over the awards and are making it a reality right now, despite all odds

Rejoice! After a long wait we're proud to present the nominees for the 8th Annual Scene.org Awards! Along with the usual suspects, we've introduced a wholly new award category for the Best Technical Achievement. This category highlights productions that are pushing the limits of a platform, size coding - or simply making the impossible possible. :)

The prize giving ceremony for the 8th Annual Scene.org Awards takes place on Saturday 4th of April, 2010 simultaneously at the Breakpoint and The Gathering demoparties. See you there!

Thanks for hosting the awards, I'll be watching from the church somewhere in Greece :-/.

IMO Best graphics and best effects should be merged. They're too simillar. Technical achievement is a great addition.

for tradition's sake: i suspect both these nominationsand the eventual outcome are rigged by the nordic conspiracy \o/
