These have all been captured from the real hardware into a Canopus NX in uncompressed mode; deflickered to 25hz (for fast motion effects) and field combined for graphics. Basically to avoid blur on effects and avoid flicker (or no resolve) on FLI images, etc. Yes, some have been re-framed to slightly crop the borders... but these are very carefully produced caps. Recorded at the party. Thanks to whoever adds them.

Please could we have a Processing category for Processing demos? For the likes of this, and the many more I hope will follow :)

syphus: We had this discussion before. The consensus was: Processing is technically a JAVA abstraction with a really simple GUI posing as IDE. So, no new category. :)

Ah, I'm reading between the lines here - "it's too easy!". God forbid we should use abstractions to help us interface with microprocessors. Let's all go and type 1s and 0s until we come up with award-winning demos!

(Btw, most people use Eclipse or X-code with the Processing core library, not the crappy IDE, so that part of the consesus seems a bit bogus...but I know when I'm beaten ;)

tomaes: if you're too lazy to fix stuff, plz stop posting in this thread

havoc: You sound like a Wikipedia admin, with a wrong sense of entitlement. I don't have much time these days, so I only drop by on occasion to help/point out something. Most of the time, I don't announce my fixes either. Sorry if I don't meet your pouet presence quota.

syphus: I like processing. I use it myself. It's not about "too easy" (python would fit the bill ten-fold), it's just a matter of distinguishing one tech platform from another. So, we put processing stuff together with the JAVA stuff, because it's the same tech. :)

Okay, fair play :)

please do announce, coz otherwise we are left with the frustration of doublechecking stuff for no good reason whatsoever.

ah, i see, so you think it is wrong for me to expect my fellow gloperators to stick to standards designed to get work done efficiently?

if i wouldn't have time for a job, i'd step down. come to think of it, i certainly don't have time to clean up after irresponsible armchair generals with a wrong sense of importancy... hmmz. gotta think about that...

i couldn't care less how frequent you fix stuff, the majority of gloperators never does that and i don't complain about it either. all i ask for is for you not to make things more difficult to those who do fix stuff reported on this thread.

I don't see how my posting in this thread (supplying a reasonable answer to a reasonable question no less) is making anything harder for anyone. It's pretty much the opposite, really. If your complaint is that glöperators (aka fix-bitches ;)) should be more "visible", then yes, ok. But again, I believe there's quite some fixing behind the curtain. Mostly small things, like categories, video links, prod typos etc. It may not be a big contribution, but it is a contribution nonetheless.

Besides, the point of this thread is so web 1.0, it hurts. I hope pouet 2.0 will do this more elegantly. At something like a "fix roll" ("show fixes/changes to the db for the last x days") would be valuable.

exactly that is my point- just post something small to indicate that you have (or havent, for that matter) fixed the requests, so the other gloperators know whats going on and don't have to doublecheck stuff

sure, and that's fine, it doesn't cause double work (except for some isolated cases maybe) so nobody will be against this

depends on your POV- i tend not to check this thread whenever the last poster is a gloperator, assuming their post serves to indicate everything has been fixed. 99% of the time this works fine, it could become 100% if we all stick to the same simple modus operandi (ie. do not post before having fixed all requests since the last gloperator post). some other method that shows me if there's any new requests on the front page would be fine too, tho.
