I am trying to run the demo under W7. I think I don't have the correct d3d9 dll file. I tried with this to no avail: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_33

Anyone has the correct one or managed to run the demo under w7? I have a Radeon 4650 HD card which should be enough.

Try the /RECOMPRESS parameter in last crinkler version (www.crinkler.net), perhaps it might solve your problem. :)

Yes the repacking worked. However the result is somewhat strange.. a lot of surfaces are missing.

Hmmm, both the /RECOMPRESS version and the untouched version throws a (0x)c0000409 in my face in my win7 64x Enterprise with a GF 9400M G.

Should I write it down as due to gfx card?
