We should have some way to merge prods.. That is.. Those who badly added a "final" or dups where there are comments in both.. Its kindof stupid if we just remove the "final" prod threads since there usually is alot of comments in them..

the comments could be merged btw, what would happen is that they would be out of context so it's not really worth it in most cases.. :)

move those fuckin 1.xx - xxx.xx mb prods which are labeled as "intro" to "demo" :/ i'm really angry because traffic is quite expensive!

or just add "filesize" info which should be filled when prod is being added or smth...

I dont think you should move XX MB intros to demo category, since they are still intros.. Even if they are big... If you want to know filesizes use the Scene.org link instead in mirrors.. They tell you the size :)

Ehm, this is like.. Undoable, theres like errors on prety much all prods that has been added for a long time ago.. We lost party info with some DB crash, the download URLs arent working at all very often tho they are always locateable in the thread or via mirrors prety much (scene.org - rocks).

I vote for placing the "download" button defaulty to scene.org sarch engine instead.. or atleast a direct link to it.. Since its prety much the only one working in general.. And no, i wont sit and copy/paste prods into here, since its just a waste of time.

ps: i think you could spare the agony if you'd code something like a "modification request" form, which would work sg. like...
1. select prod to modify
2. select field to modify
3. enter new value
then on the admin-interface, you would get a list like
"X requested changing the Y for prod Z from A to B [accept] [reject]"
would be fairly easy to code and it would help a lot on both sides. if you need help just drop me an /msg on irc.

i wonder, if no pouet admin/moderator bothers reading the emails with those requests and fixing them, why would they bother login in to approve them? its not like they are hard to do.. just need to write 3 lines most of the time.. 1 to login, 1 to access mysql and another to do the "update from..."
almost same amount of work than to login on browser and check the prod info.. certainly less in long term i'll give you that, but i'm not gonna code it, have no time for it really. and i only warned analogue that im fixing stuff not updating their site's work method so i really don't have that much authority to add modules either..

I'm willing to code that, if that's all it matters.
