Why do BITS still release demos?

SoLo: Never been thinking about doing a Bits demo using all your bits screens in one single demo, with nice transitions between the effects ?

Poor Solo. I wish those illegall telepathy attacks would stop. There must be a way. Can we fight these illegal beasts or is the inner beast that had to be released and taken care of? Does my words confuse you or annoy you? How can we reach equilibrium?

I've been watching these bits demos. Mind you the style is very harsh but it's a little interesting. Kinda like listening to noise-core or something.... or watching someone kill a kitten, depending on your taste. I happen to like them, they're very very raw.
... but I wouldn't go so far as to say that they're good, just interesting. It provokes, in my mind, questions about just what we are looking for with demos. The artificiality of the computer and the style that only the computer itself has is clear in these demos. If you take all human style out of demo what do you have? A highly aliased line and a harsh buzz wave. I think with demos we're very much trying to find the aesthetic of programs and computers in relation to human aesthetics, bits demos are just kinda extreme in the computer aesthetics direction. I think what I'm trying to say, given my observations, is that SoLo is a computer program.
interresting idea. to write a program that randomly generates demos, submits them to parties which support remote entries, scans pouet for references to itself and then talks about itself.

Further (given some crazy fucking wicked image analysis) you can scan the internet looking for party pictures that are not on slengpung, insert an image of SoLo, and then submit them to slengpung. If fact that's my theory so far.
SoLo: There's an american party coming up that I'm helping a little with. Submissions haven't opened up yet but there are remote entries. Just a heads-up
