Actually, I think this is one of the more interesting threads on pouet (which doesn't really mean much). Some of you are just too trigger happy with your "oh no it's optimus again" mentality.
I can also find between lines signs of "You make it - you watch it" disease. It practically says: keep doing the same old shit for same old people (until they are old enough to not care about it anymore). Yeah, that's the way to keep the scene alive!

Well, it's audience by in large are it's creators. I think that dynamic is needed in order to get proper appreciation for demos. People come and go but the mentality, at least it seems to me, remains that it's good to be a producer and not just a take.
It's like my friend, who plays the guitar and sings. The other day he was going on and on about how mindless techno is and how it's just "wallpaper" music. This is all well and good because he has no part in techno. He gives nothing to techno and so it's understandable that he cannot appreciate it because of this. Just as I have little appreciation for playing the guitar and singing, I can do neither.
