I downloaded a midi file of the song, downloaded "gxscc" which made the "8 bit" editting and converted it to .wav
Lame. Actual cover versions of popular tunes (SID examples) are much better.
If it was 8-bit... but not even remotely. It's a damn MIDI processed by GXSCC (which I find quite a sad practice... but people seems to have fun about it).
lame.
It's the chiptunes and/or chiptuning music!
...geocities?
What's 8 bit about that?
What's 8 bit about that?
that rainremix sucked
thanks!
man. this is even lamer than my mod->midi conversion experiments back in the times when phones couldn't play MP3s.
I like this version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caIBKOztlAo
well.... do you find it lame because ppl doesn´t make it on real 8 bit machines?... what a strange way to deside if you like music....
maybe we should think its lame if people code their demos for 8-bitmachines in modern editors etc aswell?
And what if people (god forbid) make their graphics for demos on 8bitplatforms on modern pixelprograms like pro motion. How lame isn´t that?

It's not lame because it's not "real 8 bit". It's lame because it took zero effort and involved no creativity or skill whatsoever.
yeah. I know it's a vst thing or something. anyways...
I don't know if everyone is using the midi files and a vst.. what about this radiohead/nes thing ?
