Cheap ARM ATX/MiniATX motherboards that can run RiscOS (RiscPC)

category: general [glöplog]
Aye I've only used one briefly so far (and most of that time was spent trying to get a serial terminal, not realising I had the wrong cable) but my colleague did run into some memory problems... I think I will go for the EBV one if it is revision C. It makes a nice reference platform for mobile development...
It also makes a good demo platform.. One just has to unleash the power of the DSP :-)

And yes. I had the same problems with the serial adapter as well, but I was clever enough to check the beagleboard wiki.

Since you only need three cables and signal quality is a non-issue a conversion from one connector type to the other is a matter of a knife, scotch tape and 5 minutes of time..

torus, that's the solution we came up with :) We had initially assumed the connection would be the same as on TI Zoom though /o\. Indeed it will be very neat to see demos on that/Pandora/any of the new phones with similar chipset!
True - the only thing that is holding me back in writing some demo on it is the fact that I'm into audio lately. I even have never connected a display to the device. Dunno if video out even works...

I'll probably do the usual demo porting thingy for Pandy once I get one. Really irritating how the project has been delayed and delayed for more than half a year already :(
