What's so fashionable about poker that I don't get it? Until 2 years ago poker was just a card game like any other, and now it's seems fancy to play poker and watch it on tv! Poker was never this popular! Even in the Sam Fox strip poker days!

poker is a very silly game (with funfactor).
the reason why its popularity has grown so much in the last years is that more and more people get internet access AND some people can make profit of it.

before the internet time poker was a game thats played in pubs like pool and darts.

I have a friend that makes money out of internet poker. Not sure how much, but it seems she's good enough by the way she talks.

I like texas hold'em but I'm not sure a demoparty is a good place for it. more uno tournaments please.

The first time I heard about Texas Hold'em was in the countless amount of spam mails I suddenly got. And I still don't know how it works. I only know how "classic" (or however you would call it) poker works. :P
