Buenzli 18 ++ 14/15/16 August 2009 ++ Winterthur/Switzerland
category: general [glöplog]
Live at the Numerica Artparty #2, we have launched the brand new Buenzli 18 website (http://www.buenz.li). Again, Genox is responsible for the fresh and splendid look & feel of the page (as well as of the whole Buenzli 18 design, of course). With the launch of the website we have also opened the Registration - and we are looking forward to see the list thrive and prosper. As the party comes closer (currently there are still about 5 months to go) we will add more and more information and data to the page. And while you are at it, also follow us on our tour trough Facebook, Twitter and co.

Our competition info pages are finally online. Check them to see information about the compo hardware, remote entries, general rules and rules that are specific to single competitions. If you haven’t done so yet, it’s now time to start your entry! Buenzli 18 has 13 different competitions (and we might add more, once we’ve made up our mind). If you have questions or suggestions about our competitions, don’t hesitate to contact us. Our competition host is Pro/Nuance.
Like every year, Buenzli and Evoke offer you twice the fun for not quite twice the price. If you plan to go to Evoke and Buenzli, you should think about buying the infamous "Combined Ticket". For only 55 Euros (instead of 65 Euros) you will be able to enjoy the compos of Evoke and Buenzli back to back.
So, if you are man enough to try this, mention that you would like to buy a combined ticket at the Evoke Infodesk and have your cash ready. Two weeks later, at the Buenzli Infodesk, show your Evoke bracelet and the ticket. And that’s it!
If you were not yet planning to go to Evoke AND Buenzli, isn’t this reason enough to think it over?!

Wish I could come, but my math exam doesn't permit this. :\
see you there =)
Thanks to our sponsor HP, we are able to give away a jury prize again! Every production that is released at Buenzli 18 will take part in the competition for the jury prize. That alone should be reason enough to release your production at Buenzli. The jury will be formed live at Buenzli 18, with people from all over Europe and and different type and ideas of demomaking. It will consist of 7 - 9 people who will follow all competitions closely. The jury speaker will unveil the name of the prize winner live at the prizegiving. (Note: Remote entries are not eligible for the jury prize).
The timetable is now online! Just so you know :-)
Hm.. Buenzli 18 this Friday! As usual, time goes by far too fast and we're in heavy organizing mode :-)
Here's the latest two news items:
* In addition to the previously announced Windows installations on our competition PCs, we now also offer a Linux installation on the Nvidia compo machine. Yes, we want your Linux demos, intros, games and everything you got there laying around for too long already. You got a few days to finish it! Details on the machine can be found here.
* Friday night/evening, at 21.00h, the rockers from "B.M.B" will play live on stage. With their characteristic techno-trance-chip-rock music, live from a synthesizer and an e-guitar, they will rock the Buenzli party place again, after their first performance at Buenzli 16. Don’t miss this!
