so all this fuzz because a demo by halcyon was not shown... there are tons of demos which don't get shown on parties around the world, and chimera doesn't have anything specially nice to be selected among others (well, actually, no assembly demo i've seen has anything specially nice). If it was halcyon but some newbie group, with the -very same- demo, probably noone would have raised all this fuzz.
Let organizers organize their party like they want, let preselecters select whatever they want, and if you don't like it, don't go to that party, or enter anything to that compo. Period. End of Discussion.
And yes, I've suffered from not being selected, and know what? I said nothing or put any fuzz about it, even if there were tons of worse tunes in the compo [yes, it was a tune], so I know the feeling of not being selected... that doesn't let you bash organizers around just because they didn't select your [or your fav group's] demo, or tune, or whatever... at all.

perhaps some gamers should do the preseletion at demoparties, especially THE PARTY, then we all HAVE to see prods like the metaball-shit by hybris-nemesis from TP2k1, and all the other good prods are not shown, and all sceners have the same bad feeling, not only the people behind the few not shown prods ; )

Actually, our oldskool demo failed to get past the preselection process as well, although of course we're not bitter about that in the slightest. Nope, not at all.

funny though, I don't remember any outrage when future crew's soppa failed the preselection for the intro compo at asm94 :)
sadly both this thread and the demo is causing me to fall asleep at work. this demo works as something for a artgallery's window.. but well.. as entertainment? njah

we've been thinking about having a disqualified democompo at altIV(http://www.altparty.org), where you can only enter with a demo that has been disqualified somewhere.
In my opinion just the winners of each compo should be shown at a party, otherwhise the compos take way too long and most people lose their attention.
