Hi!
I discovered and took today a preety nice thing called geekcode. It's like a bunch of a big string defining your geek personality or something. Quite interesting to learn more about specific geeks and their state of mind! I would love if you share your geek codes in here, whoever you are! Then, I 'd take them and decode the symbols from the geekcode page :)
My own is beelow. A bit uncompleted perhaps, I took the test in a rush. There are lot's of ? in it. This doesn't mean always of course that I don't know what Unix or Emacs is, rather that I have never used it to have an opinion, or I don't know/I haven't thought of what to answer in this question..

Why? Other have posted their geekcode in their website or something? In fact I have nothing of these in the code to hide and nor do I care about, afteralls they change with time to better ones :)
I know they image of my geekcode may seem preety lame, GU: No geek profession (Ok,. I am studying math but I don't feel myself a math freak,. I dream of learning the most of computers,. but now I am nothing yet.. still newbie and there are others but I don't qualify yet imho) preety funny is the last, the usual bad image,. !h (Stick with my parents (Yeah!)) !r (No relationships (Yeah2!!)) !y+ (Not have sex,. at least I want to try, yeah3!!! =) I haven't tried Unix, Linux, Emacs, I seem totally unaware/apathy to many of them,. I only know how to play Doom well (But there is not a demoscene symbol in there, gnia gnia ;P) preety strange bad geek image perhaps, I seem like a miserable beeing, but I wanted to share,. who cares... ;)

Lamers are who say that others are lamers. I know enough freax in here who are definitelly more crazy than me, who could very easilly fit in the geek definition ;P

I know it was not a good idea to post this thread, since it's not something having to do with demos (Was the homo thread then better 4u? ;-P) I am sorry for that, it was my big bad mistake, I am totally sorry bout that, I am not gonna do it again, I promise,...... Optimus, those "geekcodes" were in use by some übergeeks in 1996. Today, you're the only one :)
optimus, no offence, but your omnipresence may be a bit annoying for somepeople sometimes... maybe. what about forgeting this geekthingy, geting a life and voting for stylish demos instead for 3dflybys ? :)
Hey, he's not the only one! I have my geekcode on my homepage and I even wrote an article about the code in the end of the year 2000.
I don't feel Optimus is spamming, it's not like his postings clutter up that much bandwidth and it's nice to read something written by enthusiastic people.

Hi! We (www.legacy-project.de) are writing a tool to revive the geek code, the last changes were made in 1996, so we will create a new program with new codes (and old code too) - so if you like the geek code stay tuned ;)
it is great that one's personality can be represented by a handful of bytes. thus, it is easier for me to judge people beforehand. anyone who misses the ironic point in this posting deserves it. what is this geek and nerd stuff about anyway ?

Anyone know whether there is a front end decoder? There used to be an HTML service that decoded them, but I never wrote down the URL...

i get the impression that this tool can encode your personality into a few bytes, so long as you don't actually have one.
