So -- Another year, another twelve prize categories to solemnize the best demoscene releases from 2008. The Scene.org Awards will take place at Breakpoint demoparty. If you're planning to attend the party or would like to see the Scene.org Awards show streamed over the internet, please consider donating money into the Scene.org sponsoring fund. More details are on the way, and absolutely no greetings to Lehman Brothers this time.

Stargazer has my vote.
Am I missing something here? why is there only a "best demo" catagory? does this have something to do with BrokePoint?
Knoeki: it's the publics choice you can vote for on that page - the rest of the categories are decided by judges - as previous years :)
Judges aka "Nordic Conspiracy".
Yeah, I forgot to mention the Nordic Mafia / Nordic Conspiracy, sorry about that :D

Just a reminder: Public voting closes this Sunday (March 1st) and midnight CET. If you haven't done so yet, vote now!
no midnight run nominated as 'best demo' ? that is madness!
and no byterapers renaissance as best oldschool demo ? wtf o_O
you nominated me for best fx for realtime generation and not panic room.., wtf? :D
yeah that singular motion blurring effect must have been quite harder to make than all the procedural modelling and 64k packing. :-P
navis: well it was quite tricky the first time we used it (on falling down), a bit easier the 2nd time ;)
yeah that motion blur is better than the whole edge of disgrace. oh wait.
i'd understand the lack of a generic concept describing any of the amazing 4k procedural graphics, but now not fulling the "best graphics" category with them? ... seriously ... .. .
4k procedural graphics...
oops... we forgot something
oops... we forgot something
bleh, exactly what i was fearing :(
aftu: wtf, for example renaissance uses tons of memory.
