trace: yes, in a way. coincidently i had just undusted my amiga the other day and gave it a little testdrive, so amiga demos were also just top of mind.

what does it mean "a demo has a soul" ? i suppose that it was made with love and passion. then most demo have a soul, even if you can't see it.

a more interesting question is "which demos touched you emotionally". this is something many demos totally fail, and only some demos remarkably achieve.

Substitute "demo" with "film" or "album" and the shoe still fits. Making demos is not an industry just yet.

Eh, does not compute. The music IS the soul of productions.
But, to give my 5 cents:
Eeeeh, that demo-slideshow by Allien Senses (learn to spell, you russian geeks!) - yeah, the one with Chernobyl. Haunting, even without the music.

so basically, judging from the comments above, a demo "with soul" means it's "atmospheric", i.e. the music is drowned in reverb :)

in that case: mfx+fr - fortnight it has more reverb than goatse
