Gargaj: i admire your dedication to admin pouet (personally i hate administrating boards and such), but are there many cases of prods that were submitted to pouet without any factual link to demoscene at all ?

i mean pouet is pretty a 'niche' community site, isn't it ? people won't go there without much reason.

see that toolbox tool, the fact that it's a commercial tool makes it disputable as a pouet entry, but it's clearly inspired by .werkkzeug and linked to demomaking... and it seems to be a great tool beyond the lame fact that it targets mac sheep :p

Zest: it was originally intended for demos, but then i quit my job and couldn't find another one. integrating 3d with it is a lot more difficult than anticipated, so i never managed to make anything for bp08 and bp09 is doubtful.

isnt what just happened with the toolbox thing a fine example how these "problems" pretty much resolve by themselves. we can spare a lot of kbs of text now!

Hello boys and girls, I'm going to give some explanations on Fiction Factory

So, the start of the project. A friend of mine shoot some nices photos of a factory in decomposition, another friend make good bizarre drawings (it's not me that made the drawings), and I have some old amiga protracker modules that where never used, in the style of techno-trash-factory.

The first friend realize that his photos could be mixed with the drawings of the second, so they decide to make a mix between photos and drawings.

this was a hard work in photoshop for the second to include drawings correctly in the photos, and so on, so at the end there was ten nice pictures composed.

the first friend realize then that my music could be a good music to watch the pictures...

I was the only person in the three that really know what demoscene is about, and when I realize that the .PSD where good quality files and that I could separate the drawings from the photo, I decide to make a big flash prod with it, in the spirit of a demo... so : i just decide to make a demo with drawings, phtotography, amiga modules remixed in Cubase and little effects, using flash.

no more, no less :)

would you be willing to make a downloadable archive with both swf and html for nostalgic old farts who like to collect demos on their harddrives rather than just having the option to watch them online?
