Fancy Presentations
category: general [glöplog]
Wondering if any of you knew of a fancy slideshow / presentation-app as a powerpoint/keynote alternative. Maximum eyecandy wanted. Input could be pdf, jpgs or whatever. Yes, for free please :)
I've stumpled across pdfcube, but more eyecandy wouldn't hurt :)

I hope you want it for something stupid like powerpoint-karaoke...
sliderocket!
and oh.. check out garr reynolds' webpage on how to do good presentations..
hornet: code your own ;)
I think there's a python lib for that. Anyway, a guy here had a nice pdf presentation viewer but I don't remember either who he was or the name of the project.
maalithehorsecat - but... you're not listening, I want to use fancy transitions - no way to do that in a good presentation...
And I'll take a look at sliderocket - looks good. First presentation I saw had the words "demographics" - can't be all bad ;)
kusma - I'd rather find out if it would be original before doing one :)

your presentation by itself not fancy enough? :)
niels - No, not even close. It's family portraits... and frankly, we need help... not least because I'm on quite a few of them.
KeyJ - I'm impressed! ;) And so are everyone I've shown it to (which is currently limited to my mom, but I'm sure others would like it too). Thanks, I'll definitely use this in the future!
Personally, I always use Keynote. Just got the '09 version, and it's better than ever. I'm curious to know what you want to do that can't be achieved in Keynote.
gloom: Running on other operating systems than Mac OS X, for example? :)
