C128 power supply on C64
category: general [glöplog]
Gah, I wired a C64 plug to a C128 power supply, and whenever I plug it into a C64, it blows a fuse. The GND and 5V DC lines are working properly. Is there a polarity to the two 9V AC lines? The C64's wires for those were both black, and so I just wired them up whichever way.
Hmm. I have a bunch of C= PSUs (C64, C64c, C128, A500) and have no idea which PSU came with which computer originally. I've always just used whichever PSU has been at hand without experiencing any problems but should I perhaps be more careful in the future?
Admittedly I don't think I've used my C128 even once after buying a C64, is the C128 PSU somehow different? If so, could I get a description of it's appearance or a picture so I know which one it is? =D
Sorry for hijacking your thread without being able to help with your problem iconoclaST.

v3nomsoup: Hehe ;) I'm not a scener though...
Anywayz I just read in Optimus' thread that the C128 has a different plug so my question seems more than stupid now. :)

I'm starting to miss my two ST computers :(
Power on STfm/STe is a no brainer.

Oh, and it was just the fuse. New fuse, it works great.
Whatever you do, don't connect an Amiga PSU to a C128...

you have quite a big amount of glöps for not being a scener though.
