breakpoint 2009

orbiter... yeah.. how about that? I have a feeling elfan would approve also...
fuckings to the bp09 organizers for telepathic crimes
;-)
Tip of the day: Ryanair Tampere-Frankfurt Hahn roundtrips are currently only 95e when travelling 10.-13.4.
tFt + orbiter + thec: Heh, one big caravan of mini busses from Norway, down through Sweden and down to BP :D? That would be something. Although, technically I think the risk of something "bad" happening on the road is bigger than on a plane. Still, I'm all open for the idea :).

elfan: thats sounds like a great idéa :)
May i suggest the norway/swedish caravan .. if you are planning going in 3 minibusses, think about renting a big-ass bus instead with drivers. We are for the 3rd time going that way from denmark, and everybody is having a blast in the bus. And all-in-all we dont pay more for that per person, than going in a minibus.
And we are now 30 instead of 12-15 people

what about super mario from the gypos-booth, will you book him this year again?
How early would it be good to prebook tickets to ensure chip prices? I very much possibly might come to breakpoint that year although I'd like to come with a demo or something and I will know this one a bit later. Maybe I'll buy tickets in January?
Mmm,. ok I am gonna take a look on some greek ticket booking site. Maybe it was silly to ask here :P

That depends whether you count the impending breakdown of civilisation due to climate change triggered by high-atmosphere greenhouse gas emissions as "bad", I suppose.

(but seriously, land-based transport FTW, and fuckings to inflated Eurostar prices on easter weekend)

Yes, but you have higher risk of dying in a plane crash, than in a car crash.
And seeing as Ryan Air har the crappiest planes in western europe and the worst pilots, I would go for the car odds :D
SAS to Frankfurt main this time. Or what Response.
"Kan'ke ha dette drite som driv å stappe hele tia, flyet får aldri lette pga all stappinga."
Does that Sweden trip to BP go over Sjælland?
Lord graga: traitor! :)

that's actually far from true, ryanair only flies 737-800's, average age of the planes is under 3 years... sas, on the contrary, operates a whole bunch of planes of which the manufacturers ceased to exist over a decade ago.
however, your deduction makes sense despite this bit of misinformation ;)
Well, atleast they FEEL crappy. Squeeking and shaking more than Im used to during takeoff and landing. But maybe thats the pilots fault ;)
Exactly, ryan air feels crappy, but on the paper is alot safer than sas, except their safety check between flights is frightening short.
I'm thinking of going by car, so I would definitly join a bus down there too
Puryx: Depending on the price, I will probably end up going by plane though :P
tft: probably true- the cheapest pilots are the rookies from the job agency, and ryanair has outsourced everything ;)
dwarf: actually it's not any different from the check done by "major" airlines on a stopover... but ryanair planes do make a lot more of those.
basically ryanair strategy is to have all their planes up in the air all the time, only landing them to (un)load passengers, perform service and install new advertising (which used to be my job for some time). they used to fly some pretty old machines in the past, but downtime and service costs turned out to be higher than the price of using brandnew planes. as a result of only using new planes, they have one of the best safety records in the business. safety records, however, say nothing about pilot quality or crammed-beyond-reason passenger cabins... those two factors are the real reason to book elsewhere, if possible, imho.

Hell yeah! I've been flying crappy Ryanair for several years, and everytime it feels like we are flying for our last time. BP2008-trip sucked so insanely hard, thought I was going to throw up several times - and that not due to the booze ;)
I've also been travelling with SAS and lots of other companies during the years, and the whole flight feels much better.
Either the RyanAir-pilots suck, or I've been really unlucky...
So; if it's not to expensive I will for sure fly SAS next bp...
Bought my airplane tickets. jsky.
response, take the boat to aarhus and join the dkscene bustrip!
