(i'd like to see an answer to gargaj's question ;)

Gargaj: One of the parts of working on Hugi is the collecting articles. I receive articles, proofread them, format them and include them in a database. A long time passes by. When I want to release an issue, I control what is in Hugi. This article had a harmless headline, that's why it slipped through. When this mistake was detected (after releasing Hugi 35), the article was immediately removed.

Congratulations to Mentor.

hum, but you know this article should not even have make it to the database. It should have been dismissed right away for its racist content when you received and read it.

you proofread and format them and yet it slipped through because it had a deceiving headline? something doesn't add up here

Come on, it's an obvious lie.
stijn: I proofread and formatted the article in March 2008 when I received it. Hugi 35 was released in November 2008.

yes, but "proofreading and formatted" implies that you, in fact, read the article published in your magazine and thus know its contents. How can you then claim that it "slipped through" because by its headline you wrongly assumed it was harmless?

Which means that you read the article a couple of times, and yet you did not tick and included a racist article in your magazine.

Wow!

stijn: Yes, I read the article. But that was long before Hugi 35 was released. I didn't remember its contents any more.

well done mentor!

but at the time you decided it was worth including it in the database

get out, bring magic with you and make babies -- the end
Ah, so when compiling the final magazine you just fetched a bunch of random articles from your database and compiled the thing without actually checking which articles those were?
added on the 2008-11-10 21:04:18 by stijn stijn
stijn: There's a database for Hugi 35, a database for Hugi 36,... The final magazine issue is created from this database.
added on the 2008-11-10 21:05:59 by Adok Adok
Why the fuck did it get in the database then.
So in the end you did approve the article for Hugi 35 being fully aware of its contents at the time of approval, doesn't really matter how long before the deadline that was, does it?
added on the 2008-11-10 21:07:39 by stijn stijn
stijn: I corrected grammar errors and the orthography, and formatted the article. That's all. Every article I get is treated this way.

Barrio Jigs: Every article gets into the database.
added on the 2008-11-10 21:09:45 by Adok Adok
adok: you blindly formatted the text in the article without paying attention to its content? that's a very autistic thing to do.

Adok: get out!

that just makes the whole thing worse. i mean, the very, very faint hope that you just neglected reading and filtering it just died.

I regret that I was so careless and let the article about IQ differences between races slip into the first version of Hugi #35 that was released. I'm terribly sorry and want to apologize to everybody whose feelings have been hurt due to this.
