:)))) YES, I always attempt to dig out the latest hardware capabilities (that I don't follow nor never will except if I get paid REALLY well for it) and then make an exact assumption of the polygon counts running wild, that said..

Per model was the original idea. And then there's the 150 models running around wild.

..And my computer anyway freezes way before half a million polygons make way to screen. Not that it was that meaningful in PC scene since 95% of PC demos today are made for showing off to nVidia in hopes that they would hire the coder. :-)

Actually what is kind of amusing is that you're complaining about the scene following tired old traditions, and yet you are following very accurately the tired old scene-troll tradition of releasing a couple of absolutely terrible prods, claiming its all about the attitude and entertainment value, and going on and on about it on a scene forum.

xeron, obviously you have missed the point(s) and need to watch the demos some more to realize! :-)

!!! OUR newest release now finally got a WORKING BINARY.

THE ERROR WAS: SDL_SetColorKey(pics[1], SDL_SRCCOLORKEY, SDL_MapRGB(pics[0]->format,255,255,255)); WROTE OVER THE SDL_SURFACE (see the pics[1] and pics[0])!!!..

Now it might even work on AMIGA!

486 MACHINES naturally are supported and in fact, the first loosely (altough better) HTeL-like produktion I made, WHICH WAS OFC pyynö: profetia, was ran on a low-end machine in the compo - SO all of the pure SDL demos sHOULD work on a 486 machines with acceptable frameratez.... ...I THINK!

486 RULEZ SINEC I PLAYED ULTIMA 8 ON IT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER..
