Excellent job man :) I had a very good time watching it and as a musician I've been quite impressed by the re-arrangement of the songs.

yeah why make video 3d look very simple like nytik says. it can be easy make it a demo exe. also is this made by alcatraz team?

for the actual animation: YUP,quite succeeded there...but thanx for killing my 4k-concept :P

The music is outstanding and the 3d work is insane. It does look a bit dated, but still very impressive work!

That said, I'm kinda disappointed that we (the reformed Alcatraz) weren't given the opportunity to work with you on this as I think we could have made a real nice realtime remake, with new logos, shaders and a more upto date look.

Sagamusix: the comment was deleted by prefilm (mat recardo, the boy behind the animations) after we had a talk in #atz with s7ing , mop and other atz members.

don't forget. it's for free and was for free in past :) means: public domain productions doesn't need any permissions...

do you want to tell me now that demoscene releases are commercial enough to pay gema & other copyright-house payments and that all demosceners and hobbygraphicans/musican need permissions for creating remakes of free amigacontent ?

Oh then i think, there's a lot of remakes here and there without permissons. :)

Wade: Sorry to inform you such late... but i already had a talk with s7ing month ago about that project. he doesn't want to work under "alcatraz" on a remake of odyssey and doesn't want to work on odyssey 2 etc...

we always said that we dont want to do an odyssey remake on pc or even a sequel. and i fully support that opinion.

i appreciate it anyway as what it its: a nice remake with excelent music remix and quite nice gfx (though it looks a bit dated in some scenes).

...nice musical score there! not too far from gregs work! and visually maybe obvious you dont do it everyday,but still very appealing!

Yeah, the music was ace, and the graphics looked quite dated, but then it does have a huge number of scenes, even if it's only half the length of the original. To be fair, they look a lot more high-tech than the original blitter vectors. :]

Still it's not really Odyssey isit.

I remember hearing Babylon 5 was done on Amigas, or at least the first seasons. So that's very fitting. ;)

Yep, thanks to the Video Toaster and its included Lightwave 3D, but only for the 1st season ;)
