So instead of having an equivalent of NVision doing the work, you guys do the productivity sabotaging yourselves by pissing on each other's deprecated, tank-like hardware.

That is a Zuse Computer. One of the last of its kind and it is still working. If you like to see it, you can go visit it at the ZKM Museum in Karlsruhe when you are at the TUM this year.
