"Tip - gummisnoppis" song is PRETTY similiar to Mean Arenas main titletune from Digital Masters...

which music disk?

moby: nope, mainly because the 3d artist of one of the big demogroups never delivered, so I got a little pissed off. Instead, Brainstorm was reborn so at least something positive came out of that.

@Moby

I'd like to hearby apologise for the godawful ahx version of progressive funk. I didn't want to do it, but others in spearhead at the time said "moby said its ok for you to remix some of his songs! heres some of his songs! remix them!"

It turned out shit, but they wanted it anyway. Good job the music disk it was done for never got released, but some people spread it anyway...

haha, oldskool excuses itt!! :D

I shamefully admit having made an Axel F remix back in 1993.

Sorry :/

I have to say that I usually dislike prog metal, but the Plug-In myspace page has held me captivated for a good 15 minutes now.

Dear Moby,

You're the only reason the Coppermaster demo by Angels is good.

Xeron : that's very ok to remix my tracks, I love to listen to them remixes !! I've never heard your remix, but I'd be delighted to, send it to me, my email is not very hard to find...

Elsewhere : Glad you liked it (at least for 15 minutes ;))

Skrebbel : Metal is the shit.

Aegis_ : Thanks, but imho, even the music sucks bigtime. Never understood why people dig it :-o ... But thanks anyway !

aaaaaah, those harmonic triplets in Lifetime at around 5:25 <3

Gargaj ;) The band was actually formed after a 3 hours jam between the guitar player, our first drummer and me. It was even more liquid tensionnish back then =) (I think most of LT's music is improvised, correct me if I'm wrong)

Xeron : HA ! I found you progressive funk chippy !! :) Impressive work, you managed to keep everything very faithful to the original (song structure, notes, grooves...). Good work :)

Moby: a wild guess: your guitarplayer has some of IA's instruction videos at home? ;)
Moby: Hahaha...also, it's quite obvious who Plugin band is influenced by. My guesses were Freak Kitchen (or rather: just IA) and Dream Theater.
Looks like I was right: http://www.myspace.com/pluginband ;)
Moby: Oh, and the bass-part at 1:01 in "Hijack" absolutely rocks!
Hehe :) Freak Kitchen are really good friends, and absolutely amazing musicians. We toured with them when I was playing in Bumblefoot, and we had a blast :). I'm not really into Dreamtheater myself (kind of bores me to death, except the first CD of Six degrees, and a few songs in Train of Thought).
And thanks for Hijack, I think this is my favorite piece from the new album (we're hoping to release it before 2009 :P).

whoa! Moby! :D
nice to see you around
we already meet in dec 1991 (Iris party) and also a load in RTEL hehehehe
any scene come back planned ? :)

Moby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEx-aIhRvOg - that's you on the bass alongside Rondat, IA, Fanalo and Bumblefoot?

Oh, I actually met Freak Kitchen and was invited backstage at a concert in Denmark in...hm....'94 or '95. Really friendly crew - talked mostly to the drummer, since I'm a drummer myself, but IA was also very friendly. In general the atmosphere was really laid back and super-cool!

Having said that I am a drummer, it goes without saying that I really can't be bored by Dream Theater - Portnoy is the god of drumming gods. I wouldn't say that I'm a SUPERfan, but I enjoy most upbeat tunes they have done - and yes, they have done some boring-me-to-death tedious ballads aswell. The metal disease that Metallica and Extreme introduced, those bastards, hehe....
[EviL]: Wow Iris party... Long time... :P isn't where I met Ra for the first time as well ?? I think so... :P
RTEL roxx :) A scene comeback, maybe, when I get a bit of time... I'll definitely go to Breakpoint 2009 though. Seems to be the place to be to meet old friends... :)

Nutman: I think FK changed drummer and bass player in 2000 or 2001, so the people you talked to are probably not those I know (except IA of course), but are extremely cool nonetheless !
Drumwise,Thomas Haake of Meshuggah impresses me a lot more than mr Portnoy (don't get me wrong, Portnoy is still amazing). But that's not fair cos' Meshuggah is the best band in the whole world... ;)

Nutman: and oh yeah, that's me on the video, playing the most annoying (and sadly the longest) song of the set :(
