Do you like GBA stuff?

freeze: you know i'm busy with PC/OpenGL, then i'd be busy with DC, so GP32 would have to wait.

But well, faking together something impressive with the help of Yeti3D should not be too hard. Far more interesting would be, to make a 68000 dynamic recompiler and try to emulate the Sega Genesis at full speed with low CPU freq. :) now THAT would rock!

One of the effects in my first GBA demo... what? you don't like shadebobs? damn :P
I'm not directly talking to you... but... cool you think that way, haha. :)

btw, I have a couple of smooth games that I've made for GBA, now if I could only find that damned submit prod button! :P
bleh, seems like it's party stuff only.

Go browse this.

Ninjasack and Llamabooost are pretty cool ;)

kusma: because you're a newskool kiddie, that's why ;) I'm no coder, but I sugest you try making something on a GBA, as you are one.

shifter: lol, so this was why SFC are so aggressive in their demos! :)

Still doing GBA demos? How it has survived? Well it's cool, it's great but why the DS doesn't have it's good share of demos yet???

I think the only skilled coder working on the DS right now is Kusma. Everyone else is a bunch of lamers. I might join him some time, it's hard choosing wether I want my next demo to be on GBA or DS. But first I have a 4k for NVScene that I have to make :)
Stay with the GBA! It is much cooler than the DS!

(the previous message may or may not have been influenced by the fact that I recently bought a GBA...)

Yeah, stay GBA. It's a way cooler platform than the DS.

160p HD resolution should be enough for anyone!

You are all right. Also, I have to beat Uhka idästä as the best GBA demo ever made.
no, the best GBA-demo would be Sexy Elephant Demo

Fix the download link, lamer.
It's in the inter nets.

I'd like to get one of these devices that will help me transfer and watch all those GBA demos and maybe try to code something too oneday. Is it called Flash? Is it called Eprom? Cartidge? Does it also come in SD or SMC card like the GP? Anyways do they still sell them in pirated sites or only in ebay and what am I supposed and suggested to search and get?

You'd have to get a flashlinker with a flashcart and I don't think they are still for sale on the internet.

Ebay is your friend though, you should be able to pick up a decent sized cart and linker for about 100 bucks.

It is very cheap to get into GBA coding nowadays. I bought a brand-spanking-new GBA Micro for 400 SEK (45 euro).
Then I got a flashcart really cheap here (free worldwide shipping!)

With the dollar as cheap as it is now, $21 with free shipping is a steal.

Note that there are some slow flash-carts out there, and there's no way of detecting the wait-states supported by the flash-cart at run-time. This is the reason why "lamer-versions" exist for Shitfaced Clowns demos. Get a fast one.

I have an old supercard that uses SD-cards. It is ok for most stuff, but access is slower and some demos don't work on it. It is very convenient though.
Get a flash linker if you're running a lot of demos on your GBA.

You can get cheap flash linkers here
