that has been around for a while now yeah - although one has to admit that it does narrow the target audience considerably (i.e. gamers only)

its good to see shadermodel 3 is the comfortable majority, and that the 8800 is the most popular single gfx chip.
smash: but again, we're talking about people who mostly have no qualms about upgrading when Gun Battle Slap Fight 4 comes out :)
gargaj: well, sm3 has been around (and affordable) for 3 years now - we've probably seen gun battle slap fight 2 and 3 as well in that time. :)
In 'casual' gamer space, the gfx card capabilities are not that much lower. E.g. SM3+ cards are roughly 30%, SM2+ cards are another 40%, and the rest is mostly DX7 level cards.
However, the performance of those even capable SM2/SM3 cards is quite abysmal in 'casual' space. Top spots are Intel 945 (SM2), Radeon X300/Xpress200 (SM2), GeForce 6050/6100 (SM3), S3 UniChrome (DX7?), Intel 915 (SM2) and so on. All pretty much equally crappy :(

i keep mixing that thing up with the atari emu! and then when i figure it's pc, it suddenly wears a cap and talks about warm kölsch in a barrel! can't them valve guys change the name or something?
Steem != Steam && Steem != Steam
My machine is way below the stats :(
skrebbel: yeah, ask me, ever since that shit came up i have to live with forum-threads like "are you having problems with steam as well", "steam is the biggest pile of shit", "steam down again, kill steam" and the like :(
steam, this calls for an online petition!!!
