Okkie: I won't go into details, but those letters aren't even about something logical as a personal warfare. EP is throwing shit at uninvolved people to make them shut scene.org/pouet down because we don't like him. It's a classical case of "nobody likes me, so I have to spoil the fun for everyone in revenge".

Or take Magic... sure, him trolling on pouet and getting on "important sceners" nerves by not leaving them alone even after clearly getting asked to isn't the end of the world. Sure, he is a poor guy who quite obviously is in need for this. But why should the majority who has a quite different usage scenerio for pouet and communication in general always step back and be tolerant?

magic has been a joke since i was last considered "active" in the demoscene, which is some time around 1999 :p Who is this Adok fella? is it some acronym?

I don't get this lynch mob attitude towards Hugi at all. For sure it has had its lousy articles and nutty editors, but for every issue there still are some readable articles too. It's an amateur mag done by amateurs so is there really need for this kind of mass hysteria?

Scene has always been a good place to express yourself in all the peculiar ways and being a lovable character has never been a criterion for being a scener, so what's the fuzz ;)

lynchers should at least distinguish Hugi from the freaky triptych Adok/EP/Magic. And it's not as if the scene hadn't been a freak show since the beginning... a bit more tolerance wouldn't hurt.

i just hope ep is gone for good, his 'postal' behavior was way beyond any understanding and tolerance.

-- but once there's some founded knowledge about the someone who sadly, but willingly agreed to step into the role of the target here - and i do speak of experience when it comes to the french part of one of the mentioned guys - it's barely a matter of bullying. things have to be said, and as weird as it may sound, it's getting political (even tho i might cut myself there, doing my best in clearing myself of any political way whatsoever =)

what i find sad is the following - dipswitch came up with about the same matter some years ago. the reason was that he was being stalked by ep, and being stalked isn't funny, that is for sure. from what i saw, people only took that one half serious, just like it was an episode of the bold and the beautiful, with dipswitch being the one taking the sane role here, and ep being the one who's being laughed at, which was the case before and which probably didn't really help in the end. then again, this is pouet, so things just went their way and the case slightly faded away, leaving a sour aftertaste.
i don't want to step in for dipswitch and the other guys that have been harassed by ep and/or the hugi-bunch, as they're hopefully ma(e)n enough to stand up for his/their own. but did it actually need scamp to step up as well, so that people finally listen up? =)

Some people in here seem to neglect that we are a real community with actual humans, and that besides funny flamewars and scene dramas is is very possible to cause actual harm, damage and grief to its members and resources. While "lol drama" works for many situations, it doesn't work always.

Those demanding tolerance possible should think about solidarity, too. People should care about EP stalking/going postal, Magic trolling away other peoples time and Adok profiting with his "all news are good news"-attitude from the mess his Hugi team is creating, even if it's not affecting them personally but "just" other sceners. (We are very far from that I guess, but still:) After all, if one day one of these scene village idiots manages to actually make productive sceners leave or scene resources close down, everyone in the community will be affected.

@Scamp, don´t take it to serious as i did it 2 years ago. this leads at the end to nothing and aslong places like pouet have a open, not well moderated structure aslong idiots, trolls or whatever will be able to do their "job".

You know what you´ve done ;-) and maybe what you´ve not done and it is true, to much dirt and childish war will "kill the scene" that is no theory that is a fact.

After 20 years of personal scene live it is ashamed that old ones have nothing better to do as flaming or earning fame and attention no matter what it costs. i can understand if younger ones have their little funny flamewars but the older ones, 30years and older shouldn´t act this way.

seems that in few groups or connection only one thing count. making news or releases no matter what it costs no matter who it is. but i will not continue with the senseless, "scene will die" sentense but some of us may take more care about their "articles" or how they act in general, fun is ok, but there is a point where fun stops. as scamp said. behind all this work are human liveforms and a bit respect should be shown to them, critics are ok but the form how critic is written and spoken makes the music."
