Graphicians: 256bytes pouët logo!
category: general [glöplog]
damn liranuna was faster... anyway, heres my pouet-svg:
<svg viewBox="0 0 104 30">
<path style="fill:none;stroke:#000000;stroke-width:2.5" d="M0 0L18 0L18 8L1 8L1 18M21 0L40 0L40 18L22 18L22 -1M44 -1L44 18L62 18L62 -1M84 18L66 18L66 4L84 4L84 12L66 12M69 0L75 0M77 0L83 0M86 0L104 0M95 0L95 20"/>
</svg>

firefox wants a certain namespace, which breaks the 256 byte limit :-(

it's PÖUET you morons :)
@Captain Zed Yago: You can gain 4 bytes by using #000 format instead of #000000. Even "black" should work but it's longer than #000.
...and maybe you should stick on integers for stroke-width to gain 2 more bytes. yes, limits kill the art, I know ;)

oops, changing #000000 to #000 does not free 4 bytes but 3 bytes. sorry.
4 bytes saved when using #000 instead of #000000? count again :-P
i know, i even started with #000. but since limit is 256 bytes, i thought wtf, and re-inserted the three 0s and 2 cr
btw, i am sure a real graphician can create much nicer svg pouet logo, esp. with using Q instead only L and M

What about this: Pøüæt?? LOL
I experimented a bit with arcs and stuff
255 Byte
should look something like this:
Code:
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 500 200"><path style="fill:none;stroke:#000;" d="M55 99A28 33 0 1 1 54 99M105 99A20 35 0 1 0 125 99M210 80L210 166M230 95L190 95M9 163L9 31A300 33 0 0 1 9 94M141 125L200 125A30 30 1 1 0 190 155"/></svg>
255 Byte
should look something like this:
Decem: Great one!
thx @ LiraNuna
it's just a bit buggy. the "o" fucks up, when the ellipse is closed. don't know why.. so enjoy the white pixel ;)

another try without filtering plain text:
(works only in IE)
256Byte
after zooming:

Code:

after zooming:
Fuck vectors, oldskool FTW:
264x78x2 colours
241 bytes
264x78x2 colours
241 bytes
damn straight.
damn cool.
you won the tiny internets!
And for the sake of completeness, the Speccy version :)
448x32x6 colours
254 bytes
448x32x6 colours
254 bytes
You won the more the internet with even more win ;)
Awesome :)

ruling tiny logos, good work guys!!

ruling tiny logos, good work guys!!
BTW, @entity: your logo can be squeezed to 182 bytes with 2 colours, so you may want to try to add something fancy for those 74 spare bytes ;)
the Speccy version is really sweet
it sure is!
stage7 won the internets.
My lame attempt
252 bytes, 9 cols + transparency 108x16
252 bytes, 9 cols + transparency 108x16
Made even better. 348x104x2 colours, now with umlaut, .net and signature.
243 bytes!!
